IAN SOMERVILLE – GENERAL MANAGER
As Owner and General Manger of Somerville Construction, Mr. Somerville has over 40 years experience in the construction industry. Born to the industry, with a contractor and civil engineer father, his career began with hands-on experience doing surveys, testing, drafting and design. That experience grew to include road building, bridges and marine construction, breakwaters, docks, landscaping site development and utility works.

In the commercial and industrial sectors, Mr. Somerville has successfully project managed and supervised construction of banks, retail stores, corporate head offices, industrial warehouses and commercial interiors. Landscaping projects include parks, playgrounds, bridges and many public spaces throughout the GTA. With Somerville Construction he has established a reputation of building “one-of-a-kind” projects, sometimes within seemingly impossible time constraints. The high degree of repeat business is indicative of Somerville’s effectiveness and quality

PAUL MARIANI – Vice President/Senior Project
Manager
Mr. Mariani brings over 25 years experience in the Construction industry both in the role of Project Manager and as a company owner. He has successfully managed many varied projects, including interior office renovations, hard and soft landscaping, installation of amusement park rides and water slides. On many occasions these projects have taken place during the normal business hours of operation of the facility. Examples of these are: Ryerson University (Various projects), Delta Chelsea Hotel (Water Slide Installation), TTC (Escalator Control Replacement), Fanstsy Fair Ride Installation

Somerville Construction is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Mariani to the position of Vice President. Paul Mariani has been a valued employee to Somerville Construction for the past 5 years. Paul will continue to fulfill his duties and responsibilities as Senior Project Manager, maintaining current major projects such as HTO Maple Leaf Quay Waterfront Park/Urban Beach and Harbourfront Revitalization Project Phase III.

JASBIR MANOCHA – SENIOR ESTIMATOR
Preparation of estimates for all types of jobs, including landscaping, commercial and industrial buildings, parks. Negotiation of contracts with sub-contractors and complete preparation for starting the job. He is also responsible for the Project Management of the jobs.
